Hey there!

My name is Daniel and I’m a full-stack software developer with a large expertise on Mixed Reality and immersive media. With more than six years of experience at a growing VR/XR-startup, I am familiar with being responsible for every part of a software project. From multi-platform Unity projects over server side applications and services to team management.

Since early 2021 I’m a Lead Software Engineer at FARO Europe GmbH & Co. KG and am a certified Scrum Master.

Professional developer at day and hobby tinkerer at night, I have experience with building custom hardware, including electronics, circuit-board and CAD-Design, 3D printing, microcontroller development and more. Some projects, like VR-PinCade, proved themselves to larger audiences at Meetups and Maker-fairs. I wrote a book about VR development with Unity and my Video Editor for Android has more than 12 Million downloads on GooglePlay.

If I’m not developing or “making” things, I love spending my weekends on long hikes in difficult terrains.
